About Living Traditional Arts

Earth, water, fire, air.
These are the elements of our
Manifest life.
They swirl around us.
We give and receive in this stream of creativity.
We catch strands and weave them with ideas.
We are fed. We are nourished.
From generation to generation, we pass the knowledge
Of how to warp the loom, stir the broth.
From the past, it is our heritage.
For the future, it is the birthright of those to come.
Without the arts, we have no joining.
Without tradition, we have no memory, nothing to tell.
Without living, nothing of our doing will endure.

Living Traditional Arts.

From generation to generation, from one to another,
We are joined in our human journey on earth.
Not lonely. Not hungry. Not cold.

As I split them open, I enjoyed seeing the beautiful swirling grains in the wood, exposed to the sunlight…READ MORE >
